Have you ever attended an event in order to meet people, but weren't sure what to do once you arrived? You've probably heard about the importance of networking your whole career, but in reality, most professionals don't have a clue about how to network. If the word "networking" makes you nervous, consider attending this PAICR member call. Then, take the opportunity to hone your networking skills at PAICR's upcoming annual conference.

During the call, we will seek to answer these questions and more: What is networking? Why is networking important? Is one method for networking better than another?

You will hear advice from other PAICR members and from networking expert, Nancy Haffner.

Nancy Haffner, an attorney, is the founder and president of The Haffner Group, one of the leading legal search firms in California. After 25 successful years in business, Ms. Haffner recently retired and is writing a book on "Life Lessons of a Las Vegas Lawyer." She was General Counsel for the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas in the 1970s.

Ms. Haffner built her business through networking with partners at law firms, with attorneys at bar functions, through charitable organizations, at legal conferences and at every social occasion she attended as well as obtaining some excellent job openings at airports - both waiting to board a plane and from passengers seated next to her. Her advice is applicable for professionals of all levels, in any industry.

Ms. Haffner will speak on why networking is the most important skill you can hone for your own success in business and will provide you with her own rules on how to do it successfully - and even make it fun!!!
